What is the Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium is allocated funding to help school raise the achievement of disadvantaged children and to close the gaps between them and their peers.
It is primarily aimed at Reception to Year 11 pupils who are from low income families and are eligible for free school meals (FSM). This category now includes any child that has been registered for FSM in the past 6 years (known as Ever 6 FSM).
Students who have had a parent in the forces in the last 4 years (Service Children Ever 4) also benefit from Pupil Premium funding.
Pupil Premium Plus, benefit children in care and students who have been adopted.
