Creative Arts Teaching Assistant/Technician

Fixed term, in the first instance, until 20 July 2018

Term time only, 30 hours per week x 44.263 total paid weeks

£15,061 - £16,904 (to be proportionately reduced for term time working)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant/Technician to join us who would welcome the opportunity to assist classroom teachers, work with small groups and support the progress of our students.  The role will include providing assistance in the preparation of resources for lessons and technical support and advice to staff and students within the Creative Arts Faculty which includes Drama, Music, Art, Dance and Photography.  Experience in the use of audio visual equipment, including lighting and sound, in addition to good creative skills is an asset. An ability to work flexible hours is important to enable support at evening performances.

Applicants will need:

  • English and mathematics GCSE or equivalent
  • Good organisational skills
  • A good standard of computer literacy
  • The ability to work with young people
  • Self-motivation and a friendly manner.
