Our Ten Tors Team are progressing well with their training. We completed our second walk in cold, wet conditions on Bodmin Moor on 18 February - everyone’s waterproofs were tested to the limit. Last weekend, we did our first overnight stay on North Dartmoor. After familiarisation with some of the main tors in the area and navigating over open land, we learned to cook rations and then hunkered down for the night in temperatures that hit freezing. The next day, we had a hot breakfast, struck camp and bagged another tor or two. As well as committing to extensive training at weekends, the team also attend classroom lessons every Wednesday with Ten Tors expert Mr James.

Our next training event is the weekend of 25-26 March on South Dartmoor where we will negotiate farmland and water crossings.
