On Wednesday 23rd January we were delighted and very excited to hold our 3rd Duke of Edinburgh Awards Presentation evening for our first ever Silver Awards. We were also honoured to have our guest speaker Mr Ivor Thomson, HM Volunteer Coastguard and Managing Director of Natural Generation Ltd, who gave a great inspirational and motivational speech. The DofE and all school staff are extremely proud of what our students have overcome to achieve this prestigious award and we just want to say huge congratulations to you all!

Our current Year 10 D of E Silver Award students were up early for their practice walk at Minions in Liskeard last weekend. Wearing full wet weather gear they hiked over the moorland. They learnt to use their navigation and map reading skills to locate certain historic features such as The Hurlers Stone Circles, tumuli and cairns. They did an amazing job and we look forward to their practice expedition in March.
