This week Redruth School Combined Cadet Force had a visit from Colonel Cadets Ashley Fulford. 

The colonel came to officially open our CCF and to meet the cadets and staff. He met first with six cadets who were selected for excellent attitude and potential for leadership. It was a tough job choosing just six cadets from a very strong and committed group of young people. The colonel chatted to cadets about the opportunities available to them, his own experiences as a cadet in his youth and his work as an adult volunteer for the Army Cadets leading to his appointment as CCF Colonel Cadets for the South West region. 

He presented the Head with a plaque to mark Redruth School's proud participation in the CCF programme before meeting the rest of the cadet team as they worked on navigation and map skills.
